Table"Cloth" Curtains

Well I managed to make some "curtains" last night with the help of my daughter.  If you decide you want to make these you will need:

Your tablecloths (I used 3)
Scissors
Thumbtacks
Really thats it.
But it was nice having an extra set of eyeballs & hands.
Plus it made for some good mother daughter time :)
These are no sew. I used the hems already there for any visable edges.

To recap here's the before of  windows

The hardest part was pressing the thumb tacks through the drywall.  I didn't measure anything just eyeballed it. Measuring involves numbers & numbers are icky.
Also as I went along I pinched a slight pleat into the fabric to add some depth.

My daughter had the idea to change the direction of the pattern for the valance I'm glad she did.
And here
is the finished product
How much is that Kitty In the window?
We've been framed
I used some string to tie the curtains back.
Thanks for stopping by.
Good Luck
if you decide to make these let me know how they turn out for you.
I am happy with them, it was fun and to me that's what matters.

Freshening Up The Living Room

Here's a sneek peek of the before I get started.  Here's how it played out, I was at a discount store and spied these peva tablecloths. I instantly liked the pattern, they were dirt cheap ( 3 bucks ) I just know I can make something out of them!  I'm thinking window treatment.  My windows are bare naked anyway.  I am quite sure anything would be an improvement!

I had found this empty frame over the summer for $5 at a yard sale. I have been waiting for an excuse to add a fun color to it.

I am sooo ready for spring

Bath Soak Mix

J has chronic dry, itchy skin. The colder the weather the worse it is. There are very expensive lotions available but the feel of lotions " let alone the cost don't work for him.
3 ingredients
Take equal parts of

-Baking Soda
-Sea Salt -Coarse
-Epsom Salt

I make a container to keep on hand using 1cup of each ingredient, *mix it well and store in an airtight container.

*First shower & than soak in a tub of water with a scoop or 2 of mix stirred into the the bath water. Ahhh relax.

This really helps J's skin! Hopefully it will work for you as well!

BUBBLES!

Bubble recipe we used Makes a pretty hearty bubble :D The longer this solution sets the better it works. 3 cups of water 1 cup dish soap 1/2 cup white karo syrup
NO you are never too old to play with bubbles.
Bubbles do not taste good.
It's completely up to you but we wouldn't suggest inhaling or drinking bubbles
Bubble Epicness
